Hey there, I’m Honey! I may be a bit shy at first, but if you give me time, I promise there’s a sweet, loyal pup waiting to blossom just for you.

I came all the way from the Bahamas as a young pup and thought I had found my forever home—but sometimes life changes, and now I’m back at the shelter, hoping for a second chance. This place is a little overwhelming, so I tend to keep to myself, but I’ve started asking my favorite humans for gentle pets… and let me tell you, it feels good to be brave!

In my previous home, I was a protective and loving companion. I might bark at the door when strangers knock (hey, someone’s gotta be on security duty!), but it’s only because I care. I lived with another dog and did great once we got to know each other. Here at the shelter, I can be a little nervous around other pups, but in a calm home environment, I’d likely settle in just fine. I’ve even met a few cats here and didn’t make a fuss, though my true passion is lizard chasing—what can I say, they’re fun to watch!

Because I’m still learning to feel confident, I’d do best in a quieter home with kids over 8 who understand that some dogs need a little extra time and patience. If you’ve got a soft spot for the underdog and a quiet place where I can come out of my shell, I’d love to be your best friend.
