We’re Nyla and Star, a sweet little mom-and-daughter duo who are looking for our forever homes! Nyla (the mom) is a 6-year-old Shih Tzu mix, and Star (her daughter) is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix. We came to H.A.L.O. with six other dogs, but out of all of them, we love each other the most. That’s why we’re available to be adopted either separately or together (with a discount if you take us both home!).

We’re gentle girls who need a little patience and time when meeting new people—we can be shy at first, but once we feel safe, our true sweet and loving personalities shine through. Because of this, we’d do best in a home with children 8 years and older who can understand that we need space and time to warm up.
