Meet Roscoe, a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix with a big heart, a playful spirit, and just the right amount of goofiness to keep you smiling every day. Roscoe came to us through no fault of his own—his previous owner simply didn’t have the time he deserved, and housing pressures made it impossible to keep him. Despite that, Roscoe has remained an incredibly loving, people-oriented dog who’s ready for a fresh start with a family that can give him the attention and engagement he’s been missing.

This handsome guy is housebroken and already has a solid foundation of training. He knows commands like sit, lay down, speak, and give paw—and while he’s a little rusty on “roll over,” he’s definitely willing to brush up on his skills (especially if treats are involved). And speaking of treats—Roscoe takes them with the gentlest mouth, never using his teeth. Roscoe is an active boy who loves to run, play, and be part of the action. In his previous home, he did have a tendency to bark and try to explore beyond fenced areas—but this seems to stem from boredom and wanting more interaction, especially since he could see other dogs nearby that he wanted to play with. With proper exercise, enrichment, and companionship, Roscoe is likely to thrive and settle in beautifully.

He’s also got a soft, silly side—Roscoe loves to cuddle and will even make funny little noises when he’s really soaking up the attention. Like many dogs, he’s not a fan of loud things like vacuums or lawnmowers, but that just means he’ll be your loyal companion when it’s time to relax indoors. Roscoe is looking for a home that will include him in daily life, keep him active, and give him the love and consistency he deserves. In return, you’ll get a devoted, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining best friend.
