This handsome 3-year-old Husky is looking for a fresh start after life changes in his family made it difficult to give him the active lifestyle he truly deserves. His original person left to serve in the military, and while her mother did everything she could to care for him, health challenges made it impossible to keep up with Buddy’s energy and needs.

He rarely barks or howls, preferring to save his energy for the important things: giving hugs, handing out slobbery kisses, playing chase with his dog friends, exploring the great outdoors, going for walks, and rolling over for the world’s best belly rubs.

Buddy is housebroken, knows sit, lie down, and give paw, and is very proud to show off his manners for treats and praise. He enjoys playing with other dogs and even met a cat at the shelter with friendly curiosity despite never living with one before. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be part of the family—whether that’s joining you on outdoor adventures or happily soaking up affection on the couch afterward.
