Meet Fred Flintsone:

Meet Fred Flintstone — a handsome 10-year-old gentleman with a face that says “get off my lawn”… and honestly, after everything he’s been through, we think he’s earned the right to be a little grumpy. 💙

Fred came to us as a stray, and somewhere along the way life got pretty tough. He developed a painful gum condition called stomatitis, which meant all of his teeth had to be removed. The good news? Fred is feeling much better now with medication, and he’s adjusted well to his new tooth-free lifestyle — he just needs his favorite wet food on the menu.  Fred is also FIV+, but don’t let those three little letters scare you. FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives, and Fred has no intention of being the exception. Just be sure any other cats are friendly.

Now, about that personality… Fred is not going to pretend to be the life of the party. Shelter life has not been his thing (and he would like to file a formal complaint with management). He’s been stressed, unsure, and has made it pretty clear he is not currently auditioning for the role of snuggly teddy bear. Professional cat huggers, Fred says: please keep moving. 😹

But here’s the part that keeps us rooting for him: before the stress of shelter life, Fred was described as very friendly and affectionate. We don’t know if a quiet, loving home will bring that sweet side back out — but we sure hope someone gives him the chance to find out.

Fred needs a special person who can love him exactly as he is: a slightly cranky senior guy who deserves comfort, patience, and a soft place to land. And if one day he decides you’re his favorite human and turns back into a lovebug? Well… lucky you. ❤️

No promises, no fairy tales — just a senior boy who has had a rough road and deserves to spend his golden years safe, spoiled, eating his wet food, and finally feeling like he belongs.

Fred Flintstone may be missing his teeth, carrying a few battle scars, and currently rocking a grumpy-old-man vibe… but somewhere under all that “yabba dabba, don’t touch me” energy might just be the happy Fred waiting to come home. 🐾💙
