Some dogs wag their tails when they’re happy. Buddy Boy wags his entire body.

This 3-year-old Beagle/Bulldog mix is pure joy wrapped in fur. Whether he’s sprinting around the yard with the biggest zoomies you’ve ever seen, curled up beside you on the couch, or tagging along on a fishing trip, Buddy Boy is happiest when he’s sharing life with his favorite people.

His family loved him dearly, but after moving, they realized they couldn’t give him the time and attention he deserved. Now he’s looking for a home that’s ready to match his enthusiasm for life.

Buddy Boy has never met a person or dog he didn’t immediately want to be best friends with. His only problem? He gets so excited that he sometimes forgets his manners! His previous family had been working on helping him stay calm when greeting new friends, and he’ll benefit from someone who continues that training. While he absolutely adores other dogs, we don’t think a home with cats would be the best fit—his excitement around them is just a little too hard for him to contain.

He’s housebroken, knows “sit” and “lay down,” does well when left home alone, and won’t redecorate your house while you’re gone. He loves kids, lives for cuddle time, and has a smile that somehow gets even bigger when the zoomies kick in.
