This 1-year-old American Bully is a beefy, goofy, big-hearted guy with ears that look like they could pick up satellite signals and a grin that could brighten even the darkest day. Underneath all that muscle is just a giant puppy who wants nothing more than to love, play, and be part of a family.

Tipsy came to H.A.L.O. when his owner was facing eviction and homelessness, and unfortunately there was no family or friends able to take him in. Now he’s looking for a new home where he can be loved as much as he loves everyone around him.

Tipsy is the perfect mix of couch potato and bowling ball of energy. One minute he’ll be happily lounging with you, and the next he’s zooming around like he’s late for an important appointment. He’s housebroken, crate trained, knows sit and lay down, and has never met a snack—or a toy he’s allowed to chew—that he doesn’t absolutely adore. He also loves a good game of “chase me!” and will happily turn anything into a fun adventure.

While Tipsy has never lived with other animals, his interactions with dogs and cats at the shelter have shown us that his intentions are nothing but friendly. He does, however, have a lot of enthusiasm packed into one big body, so any future furry friends should be introduced slowly.

Because Tipsy is still learning that he’s not actually the size of a lap dog, we think he’d do best in a home without children under 5 years old so his happy zoomies don’t accidentally turn into a full-body tackle.
