Meet Lola, a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love.

Life hasn’t always been kind to this little girl. She was found living outside in unsuitable conditions without reliable food or water. Thankfully, a good Samaritan stepped in, convinced her owner to surrender her, and gave Lola the chance at a brighter future.

Now safe at H.A.L.O., Lola is learning what it means to be loved and cared for. Because of her past, she’ll likely need a refresher on house training and some time to adjust to living in a home environment. With that being said, she’ll do best with a patient family who doesn’t mind spending a little extra time helping her feel comfortable and safe.

Here at H.A.L.O., we love dressing Lola up like the perfect little doll she is, and honestly, she loves it just as much! She absolutely adores being held and carried around and is happiest snuggled up in her person’s arms. If she’s not in your arms, she’ll be following you around, happily becoming your little shadow. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Lola may be the perfect match for you.

She’s the perfect little lap dog! Lola loves fluffy blankets and has the cutest little trick: when she sees food or treats, she’ll stand on her back feet and beg with her front paws. It’s absolutely adorable! She also wouldn’t mind having furry siblings, as she previously lived alongside other dogs outdoors. Because of her sweet nature, we also think, with a proper, slow introduction, she would do well with cats.
