Meet Mahalo! 🌺
At just 3 months old, Mahalo has already traveled quite a distance to find her forever family. This sweet Pit/Hound mix was transferred to us from a high-kill area in Tennessee, and we couldn’t be happier that she made her way here—because this little girl is an absolute ray of sunshine! ☀️
Mahalo is the definition of happy-go-lucky. Her tail is always wagging, she’s eager to see what’s happening around her, and she seems to approach life with the attitude that everyone she meets is just a new best friend waiting to happen. She’s playful, affectionate, curious, and ready to soak up everything the world has to offer.
Of course, Mahalo is also a puppy, which means her forever family should be prepared for all the fun and all the work that comes with raising one! Puppies need patience, consistency, supervision, and plenty of opportunities to learn. Expect potty-training, puppy teeth, chewing, zoomies, accidents, and the occasional “selective hearing.” She’ll need help learning things like basic manners, leash skills, boundaries, and what is—and isn’t—appropriate to chew. Socialization and positive training will be especially important while she’s young so she can grow into the confident, well-mannered adult dog she’s meant to be.
In other words, Mahalo isn’t a finished product—she’s a work in progress! Her family will have the incredibly rewarding job of helping shape her into the best dog she can be.
If you’re ready for muddy paws, puppy kisses, a little chaos, lots of laughter, and the joy of watching a puppy grow up right before your eyes, Mahalo is ready to meet you.
She survived a difficult start, but now she’s looking for the part of her story she’s been waiting for all along: a family of her very own. ❤️
