Meet Finn! 🐾❤️

Couch potato? Absolutely. Pool party enthusiast? You bet. Professional belly-rub recipient? Without a doubt! Finn is a 4-year-old Hound/Pit mix who truly believes life is best when you can have the best of both worlds. One minute he’s ready for a car ride, a swim, or an enthusiastic game of fetch, and the next he’s happily sprawled on the couch, snuggling with his people and soaking up all the love he can get.

Finn came to H.A.L.O. through no fault of his own after his family relocated and sadly couldn’t bring him along. He is housebroken and knows his basic commands, including sit, stay, shake, and lay down. His previous family also let us know that Finn is quite the clever boy—he can open doors! So his new family may need to be a little creative with keeping him where he belongs. 😉 He’s afraid of the vacuum and nail trims, but tolerates both like a champ.

Finn is VERY strong, so his new family should be comfortable handling a powerful dog. His previous family said he did well with cats, dogs, and kids. However, he did not have a positive reaction when introduced to cats here at the shelter, so we aren’t sure how he would do living with cats in a home and would recommend exercising caution and careful management for families with cats. Due to his size and energy level, children 5 years and older would likely be the best fit.

Whether he’s splashing in the water, chasing his ball, or curled up beside you, Finn is happiest when he’s with his people. He’s ready for a fresh start with a family who will love him for both his goofy, playful side and his sweet, snuggly side—and he’ll repay them with a lifetime of unconditional love and companionship. ❤️
