ADORABLE, EXTRA NEEDY… AND LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WON’T GIVE UP ON HER.

At just 21 weeks old, Brûlée has already been through so much. If you remember her, she came to H.A.L.O. as a medical emergency with a severe rectal prolapse that required immediate surgery. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning, as she went on to experience multiple additional prolapses and surgeries. Brûlée is finally ready to leave all of that in the past and find her forever home.

She’s looking for a very special home willing to give her the time, patience and attention she needs.

Brûlée is only 14 lbs, but she has infinite energy! She’ll need a home prepared to keep up with her, keep her engaged and give her plenty of outlets for all that puppy energy. She also struggles with anxiety, so someone will need to be around often to give her the attention she needs while helping her learn how to feel safe and manage her anxiety.

And then there’s potty training… Let’s just say Brûlée has decided that potty training isn’t her thing for now! We believe everything she’s been through medically may have contributed to some stubbornness and trauma, so her new family will need to be prepared to start from the beginning and work with her patiently.

We’re also working on transitioning her to a new puppy food for her sensitive stomach, so she’ll be foster-to-adopt while we make sure it agrees with her. Brûlée may be a little needy, but she’s also incredibly deserving.

After everything she’s been through, she deserves a home that won’t expect overnight changes, but will celebrate the little victories, work through the difficult days and give her the space she needs to feel safe.
