Meet Carti, a 6-year-old Pit Bull mix who proves that the best things really do come in squat little packages! Although she is 49 pounds, she has a short, sturdy build that gives her the resemblance of an adorable little piglet —- and she’s just as soft as one, too! But beneath that irresistibly squishable exterior is a sweet girl hoping to find her way back into a loving home.

Through no fault of her own, Carti is looking for a fresh start after a family move and housing restrictions left her unable to stay with the people she knew. Now, she’s ready to find someone who’ll make her part of the family again. She’s a little bit playful, a little bit couch potato, and a whole lot lovable! Tennis balls and toys are right up her alley, but she’s just as happy settling in beside her favorite person. And when bedtime rolls around? Carti would much rather share your bed than miss out on the snuggles!

Carti is housebroken, crate-trained, and knows her basic commands. She’s enjoyed living with another dog and reportedly gets along well with canine companions. Thunderstorms can rattle her nerves, so she’ll appreciate a comforting presence when the skies get noisy. She also has flank alopecia, a condition affecting hair growth along her sides, which she takes melatonin for; her ongoing care should be discussed with her veterinarian.

After many years with a family, Carti deserves another chance at the kind of home where she’s cherished, included, and never treated as an inconvenience.
