Precious was surrendered to H.A.L.O. at 12 years old because “she was sick.” Bloodwork revealed she was hyperthyroid which is a relatively common condition in older cats caused by the overproduction of thyroid hormone by the thyroid glands in the neck.

The treatment? One little tablet given twice a day which she easily takes in a pill pocket!

Precious is now regulated and enjoying her life to the fullest, but she wants to enjoy it in a home and not a cage.

Some facts about this girl… she loves to talk, her eyes are mesmerizing, she loves to be brushed and will headbutt anything she finds (including your legs), she is very anti-dog, but would settle herself into any family with no canines!
