With a name like Romeo and a heart-shaped nose, this handsome 5-year-old tabby was clearly destined for love. Unfortunately, he’s having a bit of trouble finding his romantic side at the shelter.

Romeo has a reputation for being relaxed, affectionate and downright sweet, but this environment has him scared silly. We see little glimmers of the real Romeo peeking through, just enough to know that lovely boy is still in there.

He needs someone willing to look beyond the nerves and take a little leap of faith. Give Romeo the safety and patience of a real home, and we believe that frightened boy will blossom back into the affectionate companion he’s known to be.

After all, every Romeo deserves his happily ever after. ❤️
