I’m a happy 5-year-old pitty, and if you take one look into my eyes, you’ll see just how much love I have to give. My number one goal in life is simple: to love and be loved.
I recently found myself at H.A.L.O., and it wasn’t because I did anything wrong. My family loves me very much, but my parents are separating and both of their new housing situations say I’m too big. Through no fault of my own, I’m now looking for a new family to call my own.
I’ve overcome challenges before. When my family first found me years ago, the collar I was wearing was so tight it had become embedded in my skin. Because of that, I don’t mind wearing a collar, but after a while my neck gets sore, so I appreciate getting a little break from it when I’m safe inside the house.
I grew up with my little puppy brother, who was not even one-tenth of my size, but don’t let that fool you… he was definitely the boss of me! I loved having a dog sibling, so I’d be more than happy to join a family that already has another pup.
I’m a pretty easygoing girl. I love playing ball (just don’t expect me to bring it back… returning it isn’t really my thing!). I also enjoy walks, runs, and splashing around in the water. But more than anything, I love being with my people. Cuddling on the couch, getting belly rubs, and having my sides scratched are my absolute favorite things.
At home, I’m used to having free roam whenever someone is there. When everyone leaves, I happily relax in my kennel and don’t mind it at all.
I’ve never lived with cats before. During my temperament test at H.A.L.O., I was interested in chasing them. But because I lived so well with my tiny 3-pound dog sibling, I think that with slow introductions, supervision, and someone willing to teach me, I could learn to live with cats. I’d just need patience and time.
