Hi… I’m Bear 🐾
Yes, Bear — and it fits. I’m strong, I’ve survived a lot, and I’m still loving people anyway.
I was born in a foster home with H.A.L.O. Animal Rescue back in 2019 and adopted as a puppy. I thought that was forever. But I was rehomed… and then rehomed again. Eventually, Humane Society called to say I’d been surrendered as an “owner-requested euthanasia” because I was having accidents in the house.
But here’s the thing — euthanasia was NOT the answer. I deserved help, not goodbye. And HALO made sure I got my second chance.
I’m a Husky mix with the classic quirks: I walk nicely on leash, don’t bark much, but will give you a proper Husky howl now and then. I’ve seemed a little subdued in my kennel (it’s been a lot of change for one girl), but I think my real personality is just waiting for stability to shine again.
I’m long-legged and gorgeous. I tested well with cats. With other dogs, I may be selective — I can get reactive on leash — so I’d do best as your one-and-only or with patient, thoughtful introductions.
I likely know my house manners and just need consistency and commitment.
I’m not a “for now” dog.
I’m a “forever” dog.
Love,
Bear 🐺
