Meet Bear! 🐻🐾

Bear is a 3-year-old (almost 4!) Jack Russell/Terrier mix with a lot of personality packed into his compact frame. He came into our care through no fault of his own after his previous owner ran into unexpected issues with their landlord allowing pets. Bear was then placed with another caregiver who felt he would thrive best in a home with younger, active people and playful canine companions — a setting where he can really shine.

Bear is house trained and is accustomed to having free run of the house, making him an easy fit for a home environment. True to his terrier roots, he enjoys being outside, but he can be a bit of an escape artist if left unsupervised and has been known to dig his way out of the yard. Because of this, we recommend keeping an eye on him during outdoor time to keep him safe and secure.

He can be a little on the nervous side in new situations, so Bear would do best in a home with children 8 years and older who can respect his boundaries. With patience, consistency, and positive interactions, he settles in nicely and shows his sweet, loyal nature.
