Bella is a 4.5-year-old pup originally from the Bahamas, and she’s been with HALO Rescue since March 2022. She’s been adopted a couple of times, but she’s still looking for just the right match — someone who understands her gentle, quirky spirit and is ready to give her the calm home she needs.

Bella is a soft-hearted girl who does best in a quiet house with a yard, ideally with a laid-back couple and no kids or frequent visitors. Loud noises, busy environments, and stairs aren’t her thing — but frozen peanut butter, comfy spots to nap, sniffing other dogs, and chasing birds? That’s the good life in Bella’s book.

She’s still working on her confidence and could really benefit from a patient adopter who’s open to working with a trainer or behaviorist. House training is a work in progress, mostly because the outside world can be a little scary for her — but she’s trying!

Bella’s not really into playing with toys, but she loves a good chew and has the softest ears you’ve ever felt. Her ears twitch when she’s excited, and she’ll “talk” to you when she’s happy — it’s adorable.

Bella may take a little time to settle in, but once she trusts you, she’ll be your loyal little shadow. If you’ve got a peaceful home and a kind heart, Bella just might be the perfect addition to your life.
