If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow, Bernie would like to introduce herself! 🐾❤️

This sweet 10-year-old Pug/Bulldog mix has never met a person, dog, or pretty much anything else she didn’t like! Friendly with everyone and everything, Bernie is happiest when she’s by her person’s side, soaking up all the love she can get.

Bernie came to H.A.L.O. after her owner unfortunately broke her arm and could no longer care for her the way she deserved. With no family who could help, her owner made the difficult decision to bring Bernie to us so we could find her a loving new home.

Bernie is housebroken, affectionate, and wonderfully friendly, but she absolutely loves her people! She can be a little noisy when left alone because she misses her person, so she’d prefer a home where someone is frequently around to keep her company. In return, you’ll have a devoted little shadow who is happiest simply being with you.

Bernie does have a small lump on the inside of her front leg that appears consistent with a fatty growth. Her adopter should monitor it and have it checked by their veterinarian if it changes. She also has one chipped canine tooth, but shows no signs of discomfort and does not currently appear to need a dental.

At 10 years old, Bernie isn’t looking for a life full of adventure—she’s looking for a soft place to land, someone to love, and a person who will make sure she never has to wonder where her family went again. ❤️
