Brand is a merle-and-white goofball with endless energy and a heart of gold. He’s obsessed with fetch, walks, swimming, and being wherever his people are. He knows “sit,” “down,” and “paw,” and will proudly show off his tricks—especially if a snuggle or treat is involved. He loves being brushed (baths, not so much), and has a habit of carrying his toys outside and forgetting to bring them back in. He crates well when home alone but will get into mischief if left to free-roam, and he will test fences—so a secure yard is a must.
Brand is heartworm positive and has officially started treatment. Because it’s crucial that he remains calm and keeps his heart rate low during recovery, he won’t be available for in-person visits until his treatment is complete on September 12. He will still be available as a Foster-to-Adopt after his treatment is complete, he just needs a little quiet time first!
Rigby, his brown-and-white sister, is the more composed one of the two—but don’t let that fool you! She’s not exactly low energy, just calmer compared to her wild little brother. Brand is like the annoying kid sibling who’s always poking at her; she’ll correct him, but he rarely takes the hint. Rigby enjoys walks, being groomed, and hanging out in her crate (her safe space). She knows “sit,” “down,” and “paw,” and while she’s not big on toys, she’s big on affection. She can be protective of her food around other animals but is totally relaxed with people. Rigby previously tested positive for Lyme disease and Ehrlichia, but has since completed her treatment and is doing great—just something her future vet should have in her records.
