🍪 Hi friends, I’m Cookie! 🍪

That’s right — sweet as my name suggests! I came all the way from a shelter in the Bahamas, and I’m ready to find my forever family here in Florida! I’m a loving girl with a soft heart and a tail that never stops wagging. Everyone says I’m as sweet as pie — I just want to be near my people and soak up all the love I can get.

I’ve met both dogs and cats and did well on my tests, though I’ll admit I can be a little pushy with dog friends and might be tempted to chase kitties if they run. I’m not trying to cause trouble — I just get a little excited! With a proper, slow introduction and a patient family, I know I can learn good manners and fit right in. We don’t know too much about my house manners yet since I came from another shelter, but everyone says I’m smart, eager to please, and such a cuddlebug that I’ll make someone very happy.

I did test positive for heartworms, which means I’m listed as a “foster to adopt.” H.A.L.O. will cover all of my treatment costs — they just hope I can go through it in a loving home instead of the shelter. I’ll start my treatment at the end of October, and I’ll need to take it easy for a bit while I recover (no zoomies for a little while, promise!).
