Ducky came to us as a blind stray in rough shape, but this sweet senior has shown incredible resilience. She was being cared for by a loving foster mom and dad, but she is back at H.A.L.O. now and looking for a forever home!
At first, Ducky wandered constantly, learning her way by feel and scent. But after becoming comfortable and gaining confidence, she was happy to nap on her bed or the carpet, sleep through the night, and proved to be housebroken but knew to use potty pads if she woke up before her fosters did in the morning. She’s learned the layout of the house, knew where the treat drawer was, and had started finding her foster parents when she wanted companionship.
In a home, Ducky walks like a little bumper car—if she bumps into something, she backs up and tries again. She enjoys slow walks and sniffing the world, though she can be startled by wind or sudden plants. She’s a quick learner and a gentle presence.
She’s looking for a quiet, patient home where she can keep building trust and feel safe. If you have room in your heart for a special girl who just wants a soft place to land, Ducky is ready to meet you. 🐾💕
