Emma and Maxwell didn’t come to H.A.L.O. because they weren’t loved—they’re here because they were.

When their beloved owner passed away, she made sure these two cherished Cairn Terriers would be cared for. Honoring her wishes, a dear friend brought them to us so they could find another family to love them just as much.

While we don’t know every detail of their past, we know all we need to know about their hearts. Emma and Maxwell are incredibly sweet, gentle dogs who have quickly become favorites around the shelter. They recently got groomed and are looking absolutely adorable! As Cairn Terriers, they’ll do best with regular grooming to keep their coats looking their best.

Both pups are housetrained and have previously lived with other dogs and even cats. Emma does have one classic terrier trait—if left unattended in a yard, she may decide to dig her way out and go exploring! She has also dealt with seasonal allergies in the past that occasionally required medication.

After losing the only home they’ve ever known, Emma and Maxwell have faced every change with quiet resilience, always leaning on each other. We’d love to see them find a forever home where they can stay together and spend their golden years surrounded by love once again.
