When Gumby was carried through our doors, we immediately knew he had lived through the life of a bait dog used for fighting.

While my heart wanted to stop at this moment, I quickly pushed through the tears and focused on the incredible future this lucky boy has ahead.

He does need a special home…

Because he is understandably shy around other dogs, a home without other pets is his best fit.

He attaches to his human and has anxiety when left alone, so a patient family willing to take plenty of time to help him feel at home. After all, what is a home to him?

Gumby is one of the most physically broken dogs that we have rescued and he will always need additional medication to support his health to live his life pain free.

While his life has been nothing but cruelty, his future can be nothing but love.
