Hatchie’s next chapter is waiting to be written. ❤️

At six years old, this sweet little guy has already had to say goodbye to the family he knew. His owner passed away, and when a change in housing meant his owner’s daughter could no longer keep him, a friend stepped in and cared for Hatchie while searching for somewhere safe for him to land. That’s how this handsome boy found his way to H.A.L.O.—and now we’re determined to help him find the chapter he was always meant to have: the forever one. 🐾

Hatchie is the kind of dog who doesn’t need much to be happy. Give him a cozy bed, a few toys, and a person to follow around, and he’s perfectly content. He’s affectionate, gentle, friendly, housebroken, and wonderfully well-behaved in the home. He enjoys playing with his toys, but he’s just as happy settling down beside his person and keeping them company. He knows “sit,” comes when called, and has proven to be an easygoing little companion.

Hatchie also gets along well with other dogs! 🐶❤️ Cats, however, don’t appear to be his cup of tea. He did not temperament test well when introduced to cats here at H.A.L.O., so he’ll be looking for a feline-free home.

Thunderstorms are another thing Hatchie could happily live without, but who can blame him? Give this boy a safe place to curl up and a human to reassure him, and he’s ready to weather the storm.

Hatchie has already experienced the heartbreak of losing his family. Now he’s hoping someone will look at his sweet face and say, “You’re home.” ❤️
