Hi there, I’m Inky – and let me tell you, I’m not just a dog, I’m pure sweetness wrapped up in muscle and wiggles!

I came to this shelter from another place where I was overlooked for far too long, but I know my perfect family is out there just waiting to meet me. I’m what you’d call a Boxer/American Bulldog mix, which basically means I’ve got the heart of an angel, the physique of an athlete (seriously, wait until you see these thighs — I’m BUILT), and more love to give than you can imagine. I’m extremely affectionate and happiest when I’m curled up close, soaking up all the cuddles I can get.

When it comes to other dogs, I’ve shown I’m pretty amazing at reading the room. The first pup I met here, I wanted to be best friends right away, and when I met a smaller dog with some medical issues, I instantly knew to be gentle and respectful. I also met a cat who wasn’t thrilled to see me — they hissed, and I just lowered my head, tucked my tail, and calmly walked away.

I’m not a huge escape seeker, but I am strong and athletic enough to clear a tall fence if left alone and bored, so I’d do best with a family who keeps me included and engaged.

More than anything, I just want a family to love and snuggle with, one that will appreciate my sweet, affectionate nature and give me the chance to shine. Could that be you?
