This happy 6-month-old Malinois mix recently arrived at H.A.L.O. from a shelter in South Florida with his brother, Cotton Eye, and he’s eager to start his next adventure.

Joe is all puppy—all the time! He’s playful, goofy, incredibly smart, and has the classic Malinois attitude: if there’s something to explore, learn, or investigate, he’s already on it. He’s looking for a family that understands this intelligent breed mix and is excited to continue his training while giving him plenty of exercise and enrichment.

Malinois mixes aren’t for everyone, but for the right person, they’re amazing companions. Joe’s eager mind and happy personality have all the ingredients to become an incredible adult dog with the guidance, structure, and consistency every growing puppy needs. Like many Malinois and young puppies, Joe can be mouthy and jump up when he’s excited, so we think he’d do best with children 6 years and older who won’t be easily overwhelmed by his exuberance.
