Meet Lucious, a nearly 10-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff with the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. At 110 pounds, he’s a gentle giant who spent his entire life with one family until they sadly lost their home and had to move in with relatives. Now, he’s hoping to find a forever family to spend his golden years with.

Lucious is the definition of a loyal companion. His foster family says he follows them from room to room, always wanting to be close to his people. He’s fully house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside by heading to the door. He enjoys playing with his toys, gets along well with other dogs, and loves nothing more than soaking up attention. His only request? A quiet place to ride out fireworks.

Lucious has lived with cats previously, but after recently spending some time in a home, he’s decided they’re just not his roommates of choice anymore. We want to set both Lucious and his future family up for success, and we believe that, moving forward, a cat-free home is best for him.

Since coming to H.A.L.O., Lucious had a few harmless skin tags removed and is otherwise doing great. As a senior giant breed, he’ll need lifelong joint medication to stay comfortable, along with daily eye medication to keep his eyes healthy.
