Lyla: Junkyard Pup Turned Golden Girl
Once upon a time, little Lyla and her littermates were found living in a junkyard, scrappy and sweet with puppy dog eyes that could melt steel. She hit the jackpot and was adopted into a loving home where she lived her best life—until her human’s health sadly declined and Lyla found herself back with us, a little older, a little wiser, and still just as lovable.
Now a certified senior, Lyla knows exactly what she likes: peace, quiet, cozy beds, and good company. She’s not really into the whole “tiny humans zooming around” thing, so an adult-only home is more her speed. But don’t worry—she gets along great with other dogs (she lived with her brother for years) and doesn’t mind sharing space with cats either.
It may take her a minute to decide you’re trustworthy, but once you’re in, you’re in. She’ll be your loyal sidekick, couch companion, and gentle shadow. As far as her health is concerned, Lyla came to us with some lumps and bumps that have since been removed, and she was also diagnosed with Degenerative Mitral Valve Disease, which sounds fancy and complicated, but just means she needs heart meds for life—and she takes them like a champ.
As for house manners, we’re pretty sure she’s housebroken, and totally sure she’s ready to steal someone’s heart. Lyla’s looking for a soft place to land, a calm place to nap, and a person to love her through her golden years. Could it be you?
