☁️ Meet Marshmallow! ☁️

Sweet as her name implies, Marshmallow is one of those dogs who makes you want to slow down, sit beside her, and let her discover that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. She came to us as a stray, so unfortunately, we don’t know much about her life before arriving at the shelter. But what we do know is that this girl has a heart full of sweetness!

Marshmallow can be a little nervous when meeting new people, especially if someone comes on too quickly. Give her a little patience and space to take things at her own pace, though, and you’ll start to see the sweet girl underneath that initial uncertainty. Because she can be a bit cautious with new people, we think she’d be happiest in a home with kids 12+ who can understand the importance of letting her warm up on her own terms.

Marshmallow has also shown us that she’s quite the polite little socialite! 🐶 She did well when introduced to another dog and, if anything, she seemed a little afraid of them rather than looking for trouble. She also met a cat here at the shelter without any issues. Of course, as with any new pet, proper introductions and continued supervision will be important.

We may not know where Marshmallow came from or what her story was before she found her way to us, but we know where we hope her story goes next: home. 🤍 A patient family willing to give this sweet girl the time she needs to feel safe could be rewarded with a very special companion.
