Big girl, big heart, BIG love! Meet Mila Rose! ❤️
This beautiful 72 lb black German Shepherd is fierce, loyal, and full of love. At just 3½ years old, she’s an incredibly sweet girl who loves cuddles, giving kisses, and is especially affectionate and protective of children.
Mila previously lived with other dogs, a cat, and even children. She’s housebroken and accustomed to having free roam of the house during the day, settling into her kennel at bedtime.
Mila was surrendered because her playful, energetic personality and overnight barking became difficult for her previous family to manage. Noise from neighbors would cause her to bark at night. Her future family should understand that nighttime barking may take patience and work, and may even be something that never fully goes away. A home willing to work through it, or one that can comfortably accept this quirk, would be ideal for her.
Mila also has hip dysplasia and spondylosis. Hip dysplasia is a condition commonly seen in larger breeds, and while it can’t be cured, it can be managed with proper care. She’ll need Adequan injections and daily joint chews, and we recommend physical therapy to help maintain her mobility and comfort.
She may need a little extra care, but we promise she’s worth it! Mila has so much love to give and deserves a family who will embrace her, quirks and all. ❤️
Requirements: Martingale collar; Medical needs: Adequan injections, Joint chews.
Arrived at H.A.L.O. on 10/01/2026
