About me: Meet Missy, the sweetest little shadow! Missy is a 6-year-old black and chocolate brown Chihuahua mix with a quiet, tender spirit. She came to us from another shelter where she struggled with fear, but since arriving here, she’s been slowly blossoming into a sweet and affectionate little companion — once she gets to know you. Missy is shy at first and needs a little time to feel safe, but with patience and kindness, she warms up and becomes a loving, loyal friend.

Because of her timid nature, she is considered a flight risk, which means her ideal home includes: Children aged 12 or older, a fenced yard for secure playtime, and someone willing to do multiple meet-and-greets to help her feel comfortable before going home.

Missy appears to get along well with other dogs and cats, and would likely do well with calm animal companions. If you have a quiet home and an open heart, Missy might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet this lovely little lady and help her write her next chapter.
