Goofy, loving, and full of energy, Nona is ready to steal your heart.

Nona came to us after being picked up as a stray in Okeechobee. Thanks to an amazing foster family, we were able to watch her blossom into the incredible dog she truly is. She settled into home life almost immediately—sleeping in bed, playing with toys, and soaking up every bit of love she could get. During her time in foster care, she gained healthy weight, healed beautifully, and proved just how resilient and affectionate she is. Now, she’s back with us and more than ready to find her forever family.

At around 18 months old, Nona is playful, athletic, and bursting with personality. She loves walks, car rides, fetch, other dogs, belly rubs, and curling up for cuddles after she’s had a chance to burn off some energy.

She’s already mastered “sit,” “down,” and “stay,” and she’s eager to keep learning. Like any young dog, she’s still working on her leash manners and building confidence in new situations, but she’s making great progress with gentle guidance and consistency. She’s also doing well with potty training and continues to improve with frequent trips outside and a regular routine.

Nona has now completed her heartworm treatment and is feeling great! While she’s ready to find her forever home, she will be placed as a foster-to-adopt until her heartworm recheck in approximately six months. This simply allows us to ensure her treatment was completely successful before officially finalizing the adoption. Her future family will get to enjoy all the love, cuddles, and goofy antics she has to offer.

Nona would thrive with an active family that can also provide structure, patience, and lots of love. She’s still very much a puppy at heart—silly, affectionate, and always ready to make you smile. All she needs is someone willing to give her the chance she deserves.
