Hi! I’m Nova, and my life story sounds a little made up—but I promise it’s true.

I started out as a stray puppy in Okeechobee before finding a family of my own. Then, despite everyone being absolutely certain it couldn’t happen, I somehow ended up becoming a mom after befriending the family’s very unfixed Great Dane. Apparently nobody informed us that size differences were supposed to matter. Oops.

After raising my puppies like a champ, my family found themselves overwhelmed with a move and all the responsibilities that come with a surprise litter, so they made the difficult decision to bring us to H.A.L.O. so we could find loving homes.

Now it’s my turn.

If you’re looking for the friendliest dog on the planet, I would like to submit my application. I love people, dogs, treats, walks, playtime, and pretty much every living creature I meet. I’m housebroken, have wonderful manners in the home, and when my people leave, I patiently wait for them to come back. If left alone for a very long time, I might have an accident, but I truly do my best to hold it.

My favorite hobby is pretending I’m a lap dog. Am I slightly too big for that job description? Maybe. Has that ever stopped me? Absolutely not.

I’m young, happy, affectionate, and ready to trade my surprise-motherhood era for a lifetime of belly rubs, adventures, and a family to call my own. Come meet me—you’ll see why everyone falls in love with Nova.
