About Me:  Oakley is a lovable, energetic dog with a lot of potential and a heart full of affection. Since coming into foster care, Oakley has been a great house guest – he’s fully house-trained and has never had any accidents. He walks beautifully on a leash and loves spending time with children, always gentle and kind with them.
However, Oakley is a bit nervous around men and needs time and patience to feel comfortable. With the right family, he’ll thrive, especially if there are kids he can bond with! While Oakley is still learning not to chew on fabric (he has a history with couch cushions and fleece blankets), he’s improving every day. He’ll need a family that can continue to work with him on this and provide appropriate chew toys to redirect his behavior.
We’ve also been working on curbing his humping behavior, and he’s made great strides! He’s a fast learner and very eager to please, especially when given positive reinforcement.
Oakley is looking for a loving home with a family that can give him the patience and positive reinforcement he needs to feel secure. If you’re ready to help this sweet boy grow and shine, Oakley could be the perfect addition to your family!
