Meet Peppa, a 2-year-old terrier mix with 15 pounds of charm, spirit, and potential. Behind her soulful eyes and scruffy-cute face is a dog who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place—with the right people by her side.

Peppa is naturally cautious when it comes to new people, places, and experiences. She doesn’t rush into trust, but once she feels safe, she opens up in the sweetest ways—tail wags, gentle cuddles, and joyful zoomies included. She’s playful, curious, and incredibly rewarding to get to know.

Peppa may be dog-selective—she was housed with another dog closer to her size at her previous shelter, but has been unsure of the dogs she’s met since arriving here. Because of this, any potential dog siblings would need a slow, thoughtful introduction to see if it’s the right match.

Because Peppa thrives on building relationships at her own pace, we’re looking for a patient, committed adopter who’s willing to come in for multiple meet-and-greets. These visits will help Peppa feel comfortable and start forming a lasting bond before heading home.

She would do best in a calm, predictable home with older children (12+) and people who understand that the best relationships are built on time and trust. Once Peppa knows she’s safe and loved, she’s the kind of companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin.
