This beach-loving beauty came all the way from Tortola in the Virgin Islands, chasing her shot at forever love—and she’s still waiting, now 400+ days later. Pepper just turned 6 years old and is part of H.A.L.O.’s Misfit Program, meaning she has a bite history and will need a home that understands her unique boundaries.

Pepper is affectionate and full of heart once she trusts you—offering sweet, grateful kisses and the best company for beach trips, fetch marathons, or just cruising in the car. She’s an athletic, fun-loving girl who thrives on adventure.

But Pepper is also a sensitive soul. She gets overwhelmed in situations where she feels cornered or frightened, such as vet visits or being loomed over. If she feels threatened, she may react by biting. Because of this, Pepper needs a patient, understanding home with adults only and preferably no high-traffic or unpredictable environments.

We’re looking for someone willing to visit a few times, take it slow, and let Pepper open up on her own terms. She’s been overlooked for far too long—but for the right person, she’ll be the most loyal, loving companion you could ask for. Could that be you?
