Meet Stella — the Sweetest Wallflower 💐

Stella is a senior black and white Lab/Pit mix who came to us from a loving home after her owner’s health declined. She’s spent her life being someone’s best friend and is now hoping to find a new family to fill that role once more.

She’s a gentle, sensitive soul who’s been understandably overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the shelter. A bit of a nervous nelly, Stella may start out shy, but with patience and kindness, her sweet personality shines through. She’s done well with both dogs and cats in our temperament testing, and we believe she’ll be much more confident once she’s back in a calm, predictable home environment.

Stella would do best with children 8 and older, not because she isn’t sweet (she absolutely is!), but because loud noises and sudden movements can spook her. Thunderstorms and fireworks aren’t her jam either—but who can blame her?

When she’s feeling safe, Stella loves to play ball, show off her “sit” for cookies, and learn new things to please her people. She’s smart, eager to connect, and just waiting for a quiet home and a warm heart to help her feel secure again.
