Hi everyone, my name is Sunny, and I’m a beautiful young girly who’s estimated to be about 1 1/2 years old, and I’m only 36 lbs.
I was found as a stray near IHOP because all I wanted was a pancake or two. 🥞 Even though I never got the snack I was looking for, I’m glad someone saw me and brought me to safety. I’m not sure if I had a family or not, but no one ever came looking for me, so here I am now, searching for my happy ever after!
Because of my unknown past, I can’t promise you if I’m housebroken or not, but I’ve shown everyone at H.A.L.O. just how smart I am. I’ll sit for some food, and I’ll also sit when you put a leash on me. Because boy, do I love exploring!
When we go on walks, I do great! But hold my leash tight because if I see another dog, I want to befriend it! I just want to say hi to everyone.
When H.A.L.O. did my temperament test, I saw a cat and went a little cray-cray. What are those things?! I’m not a fan… I definitely don’t want one of those in my home. One might even call me a dog’s dog.
I’m pretty high-energy, but I’m also a nervous girl, so I’m definitely a go-slow gal. Small kids are a no-go for me, but I’d do well with kids 8+ who understand that I might need a little patience and time to settle in.
Shelter life has been pretty stressful for me. It can get loud here, and that makes me pretty nervous and anxious. I’ve also shown that I’m not a fan of being poked and prodded, so if you ever bring me to the vet, a muzzle might be best. I’m not a mean girl, I just don’t like the doctor’s office.
I need someone who understands that when I’m nervous or in a new environment, I need you to slow things down. Slow and steady is how I like to be introduced to new things.
But once I’m comfortable, you’ll see another side of me! When employees sneak into my kennel, I become a total cuddle bug. I absolutely LOVE my one-on-one time with them! Relaxing time with people is for sure a highlight of my day. I think I’d do great as your emotional support cuddle buddy. 🥰
I’ve always been told I’m very smart and learn fast. So even if you don’t know my history, I wouldn’t mind learning new things and building a future with you instead. Just be patient with me, go slow, and give me the chance to show you who I really am.
