Meet T-bone:

About Me:  T-Bone is a senior Chinese Crested with a heart full of love and a journey that’s touched everyone here. He came to us after his beloved owner passed away, and it was clear from the start how much he was grieving. Scared, shut down, and in rough shape, T-Bone didn’t know who to trust—but bit by bit, he’s let us into his world. Through time, patience, and gentle care, T-Bone has started to blossom. He’s gone from hiding to hopping into laps, soaking up naps, and even enjoying playtime with his favorite handlers. His “spicy” moments? Well, they come from a place of fear, not malice—and with the few teeth he has left, he lets you know when he’s overwhelmed. Because of that, T-Bone will be considered a Misfit, meaning he’ll need a special, understanding adopter who can give him space to settle and the love he deserves.
T-Bone has come such a long way, and we know that in the right home, he’s going to be someone’s loyal little shadow. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a big personality and a lot of heart, T-Bone might just be your guy. Misfits like T-Bone aren’t perfect—but they’re perfectly worth it.

I am a H.A.L.O. Misfit

What this means is that in my life time, I have been failed by humans and because of that, I have not learned how to deal with my fears and make good decisions.

At H.A.L.O., the trainers and handlers understand that I am a good dog who just needs someone to hold my paw sometimes and reassure me. If you would like to meet me please just know that it might take some time to get to know me and for me to learn to trust you. Our handlers would love to work with us both to lead us to a healthy, respectful and loving relationship.
