Meet Wonton 🥟 — a tiny guy with a cautious heart and a hopeful future ahead of him. Found wandering as a stray in Fellsmere, Wonton’s past is a mystery, but it’s clear he’s still learning that people can be kind and the world can be safe. He can be unsure with new faces at first and may get a little nippy if he feels overwhelmed, so he’s looking for a calm, patient adult-only home that will let him settle in at his own pace.

Once given space and understanding, Wonton shows signs that there’s a sweet little companion hiding underneath his tough shell. He did well meeting other dogs and showed no aggressive behavior around cats, so he may enjoy having a furry friend around. Sadly, Wonton did test positive for heartworms after arriving with us, but H.A.L.O. will be covering his treatment. More than anything, we’d love for him to start that journey from the comfort of a real home instead of a shelter kennel.

Wonton doesn’t need perfection — just patience, kindness, and someone willing to let him bloom in his own time. 💛
