Hi there, I’m Zoey Lee — a sweet little lady with a gentle soul and a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to share it with.

I’m a senior Yorkie, and life took a turn recently when my beloved person passed away. It’s been a tough adjustment, but I’m doing my best to be brave. When I first came to the shelter, my bloodwork showed my kidneys weren’t doing so great. But don’t worry — I’ve been started on a special diet and some medicine to help, and I even had a much-needed dental to clean up my not-so-pearly whites! There’s a chance that could’ve been part of the issue, so the kind humans here will be rechecking my bloodwork at the end of August to see if I still need my current treatment plan or if I’m back on track.

Personality-wise, I’m more of the quiet, thoughtful type. New faces and loud noises can be a little scary at first, but once I know I’m safe, I’ll happily curl up beside you for a snuggle or follow you around just to be near. I get along with other dogs, preferably fellow ladies, and cats alike — I just prefer a calm, respectful vibe.
